Junior Software Engineer

For a European Space Agency project, we are looking for Junior Software Engineer.

We require
- very good knowledge of C/C++,
- experience in software developing,
- knowledge of Linux platform,
- usable level of English language
- good communicational skills, flexibility and reliability

We are very active in the initial involvement of Czech Republic in the European Space Agency and in bids for various subsystems for Galileo. Currently we are working on two projects in ESA (Galileo predecessor EGNOS, and GRID technologies) and one in Galileo Search & Rescue, as member of an international consortium led by Spain. We also develop embedded software for Czech clients.

Our general expectations for our staff, apart from competency and experience in software technologies, are fluency in English (other languages, e.g. Spanish, German or Italian an advantage) being self-motivated and flexible both in terms of the focus of future work as well as geographically. For some projects, there is an opportunity to work for extended period abroad (e.g. in Spain or UK) in international teams working in latest technologies.
No previous space application knowledge is required, but rather willingness and ability to learn.
