Science Systems wird auf Iguassu Software Systems umbenannt.

Wir haben unseren Namen geändert und heißen ab jetzt Iguassu Software Systems (im kurzen ISS). Nach dem legendären Gang durch unseren Handelsregister, können wir endlich den neuen Namen veröffentlichen. Der Grund der Änderung war eine klarer Differenzierung von unserer ehemaligen Muttergesellschaft. Der Name Iguassu kommt von den eindrucksvollen Wasserfällen zwischen Brasilien und Argentinien - stark, standhaft und unaufhaltsam. Bei diesen Wasserfällen hat der gegenwärtigen Geschäftsführer den CEO des ehemaligen Muttergesellschaft getroffen, und worde von ihm in die Firma eingeladen.

Die Französische Firma NODAL Consultants hat in Prag für die Repräsentanten des Ministeriums für Schulbildung und des Tschechischen Rats für Weltraum Angelegenheiten (Czech Board for Space Activities) die Resultate der Untersuchung der Tschechischen Firmen, die sich an Weltraumprojekten beteiligen, präsentiert. As a result of the progress of the negotiation between the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Czech government supported by the Czech Board for Space Activities, ESA contracted the French agency Nodal to survey Czech companies and institutions that may have the necessary capabilities and potential to participate in ESA programmes once the negotiations are concluded and the Czech Republic has become one of the participating states. A questionnaire has been sent out to a selected segment of Czech industries. After evaluating the survey, Nodal and ESA representatives visited this country between 24th and 27th of September to interview 17 companies which showed the best potential. We were one of these selected and following the personal interview, have been complimented for having already been actively participating in ESA and Eumetsat space projects.

Meteosat Second Generation Satelit erfolgreich in die Laufbahn gestartet.

Science Systems (CR) war an der Software-Entwicklung beteiligt

Der erste Satelit der Meteosat Second Generation (MSG) Serie war am 28 August 2002 um 22:45 UTC (00:45 CET) gestartet. Die neue Technologie des MSG1 wird bedeutend die Kvalitaet der Daten, die zum mehr exakten Wettervorhersage und Klimabeobachtung gebraucht werden, verbessern. Das Software Boden System, installiert im Operations-Zentrum von Eumetsat in Darmstadt, bearbeitet alle Komunikation mit dem Sateliten, die Steuerung, die Vorbereitung und die Verbreitung der Bilder und underen Meteorologie-Produkten.

Science Systems (CR) has contributed to several subsystems of the software that is being used. This included fixed price project development in Prague of a test suite to check out the ground segment central facility, development of telemetry data processing software at the prime contractor’s site in UK, software testing of the Primary Ground Station being developed by CAM in Munich as well as system installation, support and maintenance of the software delivered by the prime contractor in Eumetsat control centre. Our staff continues to provide system support after the launch.

In total, Science Systems (CR) has contributed 14 man-years of software development to the Eumetsat project, working in Czech Republic, United Kingdom and Germany.

Science Systems (CR) a.s. hat einen Deutsch-sprechenden ERP Spezialist mit intensive Erfahrung, gesammelt direkt bei der Deutschen Firma. Andere Tschechischen Konzultanten werden ihre lange ERP Erfahrung im Infor Hauptsitz Friedrichsthal mit Infor-spezifischen Kentnissen erweitern.

The Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, yesterday nominated our Managing Director for the Board for Cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA). He will join an existing group of select personalities from Czech science and technology, who are advising the Ministry in matters related to space research and technology in general, and future membership in ESA in particular, including a formulation of the Czech National Space Plan. Management Buy Out of Science Systems (CR) a.s.

As of 1^st February 2000, Science Systems (CR) a.s. based in Prague (further SSCR) has been bought out by the local British/Czech management team. SSCR was formerly a subsidiary of Science Systems plc (SSL), a major British software house, which is retaining a substantial minority shareholding in SSCR. SSL has extended its existing trading agreement with SSCR, and targets for mutual business volume have been agreed through 2001.
